Summer Fun in the Sun!

Hi everyone,

My second summer in Pacasmayo was awesome. I taught recycled arts and crafts with my site neighbor Scotney at my Municipality and the Casa de Cultura, and taught swimming at surf school alongside my sitemate Tim through a hostal owner named Otto and with a huge group through the Municipality. It was an incredibly fun summer filled with giggles, curiosity, imagination, and lots of glitter. In summer school, we made jewelry, photo frames, fish, suns, cranes etc. and the kids had a final project where they used a variety of different recyclables for a final creation. Here are some photos of the classes, the surf schools, and the final presentation of our recycled arts and crafts which was shown off at the "night of the arts event" in my town. Pictures of the awards from the summer's end surf competition to come at another time. Enjoy!
